Help For Children Canada is delighted to announce that in 2016, we distributed CAD$120,000 in grants to four programs that are preventing and treating child abuse in Canada. On behalf of all of us at HFC, and especially our grantees, thank you for making this grant making cycle possible.
 Our 2016 grantees:

CAD $35,000 to The Helping Children and Youth Through the Crisis of Abuse program at Boost Child Abuse and Intervention, providing immediate and ongoing support to children and youth during and following investigations of abuse.

CAD $30,000 to The E.T.A. Domestic Sex Trafficking Prevention and Interventionprogram of East Metro Youth Services. The primary goal of this program is to stabilize, treat and support children and youth who were sexually exploited through forced sex trade work.

CAD $30,000 to The Aboriginal Zhishay program of Native Child and Family Services of Toronto, supporting Native male caregivers with young children with the goal of strengthening families in order to prevent abuse.

CAD $25,000 to The Integrated Model of Care Pilot Project of St. Stephen's Community House which provides therapeutic care and support for girls and young women who have experienced sexual abuse.  The primary goal of the project is to help these young women build resilience and coping skills while staying safe.

To date, HFC Canada has distributed over CAD $1,539,000 in 53 grants, helping to impact hundreds of lives each year.  Through successful fund raising events held over the past year, HFC Canada has taken a leadership role in reducing trauma, building individual strengths, decreasing risk and strengthening families.   The funding for these grants is a direct result of the support received from the Canadian alternative investment community.   Together, we have made the world a safer place for children.
Thank You!

Thank you again for your support, and we hope that you will help us serve even more vulnerable children and families in the coming year.

With sincere appreciation,
